Welcome to MetalReal (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website at metalreal.com and all its calculators, guides, and related content (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, please do not use it.

Using MetalReal means you have read and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which forms part of them. We may update the Terms as the site changes; continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised version.

Educational Estimates, Not Certified Values

This is the most important term on the page. Every calculator on MetalReal produces an educational estimatefrom the numbers you enter and standard formulas and published density tables — volume-times-density weights, gauge tables, bend-allowance geometry, cost arithmetic, kerf-aware yield, and weld-deposit estimates. The results are simplified models to help you plan. They are not certified material properties, a stamped engineering calculation, or a qualified welding procedure. Nominal densities and gauge tables vary between standards and suppliers, and real weld consumption depends on technique and fit-up. For anything structural, load-bearing, or safety-critical, work to your engineered drawings and material certificates and verify with a qualified professional.

Using the Service Responsibly

You agree to:

• Use the tools in good faith and treat their output as an estimate, not a guarantee.
• Verify anything important against engineered drawings, material certificates, and a qualified welding procedure before cutting, building, or welding for real.
• Not attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the site or scrape it with automated systems.
• Respect intellectual-property rights and not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

No Warranty

The Service is provided “as is.” While we aim for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that every calculation is error-free or fits your purpose, and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MetalReal and its suppliers are not liable for any damages — including wasted material, scrapped parts, failed welds, or injury arising from a mismatched weight, gauge, bend, or weld estimate — resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its tools, even if we were advised such damages were possible.

Intellectual Property

The site’s text, graphics, logos, tools, and code are owned by MetalReal or its suppliers and protected by copyright, except third-party museum and reference material drawn from Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons, which remains under its own licences. You may use the tools for personal, non-commercial purposes; you may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or strip notices from the site’s materials.

Third-Party Links and Advertising

The Service links to external sites and shows third-party advertising (including Google AdSense). We do not control or endorse third-party content, and using any linked site is at your own risk.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. All calculator inputs are processed in your browser and are not transmitted to us.

Governing Law
