Contact MetalReal
MetalReal is a small, independent, ad-supported site — there is no support team standing by, but a real person reads what comes in to support@metalreal.com.
A few things this address is genuinely useful for: a calculator that gave you a result you think is wrong (say which tool — the metal weight, gauge & thickness, bend allowance, cost estimator, cut list, or welding fillercalculator — and the numbers you entered); a metalworking or fabrication tool you wish existed here; an out-of-date fact or broken link in the blog, learn section, or the Metalworking & Fabrication Museum; or a bug in how a page behaves on your device.
There’s no fixed response time to promise and no ticket system — mail is read and answered as it comes in. If your question is really about a specific alloy’s certified mechanical properties, a filler metal’s exact spec, or a welding procedure for a coded job, your material supplier, the filler manufacturer, or a certified welding inspector will give you a firmer answer than a general-purpose calculator can. The tools here produce estimates from standard formulas and published density tables, and the site isn’t affiliated with any tool brand, filler-metal maker, or steel supplier.
One quick check before you write in about a surprising result: re-read the inputs. A thickness typed in inches against a millimetre setting, the wrong alloy left selected, a length and a width entered the wrong way round, or a kerf left at its sample value account for most head-scratching answers. If it still looks off after that, that’s exactly the message worth sending.
